"Prayers for the Battlefield" by Heidi St. John Review

Jenny/ October 2, 2018/ Homeschool Reviews

As a Tyndale House Publishing book reviewer I was so excited when I was given the chance to review a book by Heidi St. John!  She is one of my favorite authors and her book “Prayers for the Battlefield, Staying Momstrong in the Fight for Your Family and Your Faith” is no exception.  In fact it is excellent!

Heidi is a mom with lots of experience; she has 7 children!  She’s also a homeschooling mama which makes her even nearer and dearer to my heart.  But this book is geared towards ALL Moms and definitely is a must-read in my opinion.

Its divided up into sections based on your need, so you can use it as a daily devotion or search for something that directly impacts what you’re going through that particular day.  Heidi is engaging so you won’t be bored and the sections are short and sweet (perfect for busy moms).

You will be challenged, encouraged and convicted (I know I was as I was reading it!).  Its not a feel good fluff book but something which is designed to have eternal impact!

I highly recommend this book (and all her other ones also!).  I know you will be blessed and if you really dig in deep you will know that “God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect…He trains my hands for battle; He strengthens my arm to draw a bonze bow.”  Psalm 18: 32, 34.

disclaimer:  I received this book from Tyndale House Publishing for my fair and honest review.  I was not compensated in any other way.
